This project involves testing newly created load balancing solutions with different load balancing products. The contractor should have good application experience as well as some networking experience. The project involves using various enterprise applications IBM HTTP Server, WebSphere Application Server, and DB2 as well as a combination of different networking equipment CISCO 6500 switch, Content Switching Modules, Firewall Modules, Nortel switches and load balancers to study and compare various load balancing solutions. While the contractor doesn t have to be an expert in the use of each of these applications and harware components, he or she must have an application development or administration background with some level of network configuration or administration experience.
